Who is the Canadian YouTuber "AvE"?

The irreverent Canadian YouTuber that goes by the name "AvE" produces great video content. He mostly tears apart power tools, engines, pump components, and electronicals to show us how they work (or don't work). He cusses with aplomb and offends all comers, but his "BOLTR" tool tear-downs are terrific. The AvE channel represents some of the best YouTube has to offer.

I suspect he is owner of a surface mining operation (aggregate or gold/diamonds/unobtainium). Trained in metallurgy, electronics, and hydraulics. Likely a formal education in mine engineering, possibly a licensed enginerd. Has the prospector gene and wears more than one hat. Likely held jobs in the past with large mining companies - a foreman or controls engineer/troubleshooter for Teck(?) or a heavy equipment dealer/servicer. He used to travel with some regularity, but seems to stick closer to home these days. Controls his own schedule, but has reason to connect with other industry pros from time to time. Does some consulting work, purchases heavy equipment occasionally, and acts like a manager. He's no corpo-shill salesman, but is clearly involved with buy/repair/use heavy machinery. Hands like a Caterpillar mechanic, mouth like a tugboat captain. Glasses, intermittent beard, Irish-Dutch with an accent smacking of (and family ties to?) the Canadian Maritimes. Whoever he is, I wish he were my neighbor and/or hiring.

Hello,

I'm a journalist at Miami New Times who has been covering the FIU bridge collapse and I'm working on a piece about a video put together by the YouTuber "AvE" over the weekend. It's one of the most convincing arguments I've seen online about what happened.

I was hoping to find some information on who this guy is and found your blog asking the same question last year. Just wondering if you got any answers or have any other insight on who this guy is?

The naturally occurring range of superunknown AvE.

My best guess is that AvE runs a surface aggregate or till-hosted minerals mine in the Okanagan-Thompson-Cariboo region of south-central BC. Nearest big city is probably Kamloops (there's a Home Depot there). But what do I know about Canadians, partying, or anything else.

The important question is: What does AvE looks like? The photos below are how some picture him. What do you think?
